star wars the shows are usually top secret about what’s to come in the future. However, the last episode of Boba Fett’s Book gave his audience as clear a clue as possible. It happened at the end of the fourth episode, “The coming storm“, which means we’re going to have to talk about spoilers.

After Boba Fett and Fennic Shand reach an uneasy truce with the other Mos Espa crime families, the pair agree it’s time to prepare for war with the Pyke crime syndicate. Fennic asks Boba how many treasures they have, to which he replies that he has a lot of credits. What’s missing is muscle. “Credits can buy muscle,” says Fennic. “If you know where to look.” And when Fennic turns away, you hear him. At 43:40, the incomparable bass recorder from composer Ludwig Göransson’s theme for The Mandalorian. It plays for about seven or eight seconds before it begins to fade into Joseph Shirley’s score, then the episode cuts to the credits.

Now, this is all pretty obvious, isn’t it? Boba and Fennic need muscle. They have money. The music of a famous hitman is sympathetic to them with plays. We see where everyone is coming from. The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, is almost certainly returning to Tatooine later this season to help Boba and Fennic fight off the Pykes.

If so, the move makes sense on two levels. First off, on a basic “We Need Muscles” level, Mando is a great warrior with many connections. Connections like, hypothetically, Cobb Vanth—who is also on Tatooine at this time. He would be an asset in any type of fight. Then there’s the bigger Disney+ star wars level. Boba Fett’s BookThe main story takes place after The Mandalorian season two (although the flashbacks of this episode directly crossed with the first season). That means Mando is out there without Grogu. What is his goal ? Maybe working with a few friends gives the character some time for enough separation from Grogu that in season three the story can logically start working towards a reunion after Luke has had some time with the young Jedi. On the other hand, would Mando still have the Darksaber? And if so, is it a revelation of things to come? Could he call Ahsoka?

Basically, we’re pretty sure Mando is going to show up on Boba Fett’s Book soon. And if he does, it will act as a good match for what could be the continuation of his story. Did you pick up the music on the first watch? Do you believe that Mando shows up? Let us know below.
