Clinton Youth Troupe to Perform ‘Shrek the Musical’ Next Month



CLINTON — Coastal Theater Academy Kidz Konnection will return to the stage to perform “Shrek the Musical” March 11-12 at Andrews Memorial Town Hall Auditorium.

The production is made possible through support provided by CT Humanities, with funding provided by the state Department of Economic and Community Development/Bureau of the Arts, according to a press release.

“Shrek the Musical” will feature two separate casts for just two shows.

Friday night at 7 p.m., Ethan Ayala (of Madison) will play Shrek, Indiana Weaver (of Westbrook) will play Fiona, Avery Hagen (Madison) will play Donkey and Camryn Mazzarella (Clinton) will play Lord Farquaad. Saturday at 4 p.m. Morgan High School senior Will Curry (Clinton) will play Shrek, semi-pro actor Rebecca Kavanaugh (Clinton) will play Fiona, Teresa Carlton (Clinton) will play Donkey and Mikayla Zitzkat (Clinton) will play Lord Farquaad .

Tickets are available at kidzkonnectionct.org and cost $20 for adults, $18 for children and seniors. Pre-sales are strongly encouraged as there will be limited door-to-door sales. Masks are required for all members of the public and remote seating will be available upon request.
