How to watch the Matilda musical film online – is it on Netflix?

A new cinematic version of Matilda the Musical is coming to our screens and will premiere in cinemas first before landing on netflix later in 2022.

A new trailer recently landed, giving fans a glimpse of No Time to Die’s Emma Thompson and Lashana Lynch stepping into the shoes of the evil Miss Trunchbull and charming Miss Honey, respectively.

The footage also gives fans a glimpse of newcomer Alisha Weir playing the titular prodigy with telekinetic powers, as well as some of the others. Cast of the musical film Matilda and lots of musical sequences.

Is Matilda the musical movie on Netflix?

Not yet. It will still be some time before the movie is available to watch on Netflix.

In the UK there is currently no release date for the film’s debut on Netflix, but it will be available in the United States and worldwide starting December 25.

However, that doesn’t mean you can’t watch it from this side of the pond, as the musical hits theaters in November.

In the UK, Matilda the Musical by Roald Dhal will arrive in cinemas on November 25, following its premiere at the BFI London Film Festival. We can’t wait!

In the United States, it will premiere in select theaters on December 9 before its worldwide debut on Netflix on December 25.

It’s unclear at this point if the film will also be available to watch on Christmas Day in the UK.
