Mill Valley’s Musical Theater Class Aims to Provide Adventure

MILL VALLY, CA — A musical theater class in Mill Valley aims to provide students with an interactive adventure.

The program, run by the Mill Valley Recreation Department, is scheduled to run from April 1 to June 10.

“This is a fun/fast/moving and interactive class where students will be introduced to the music, dance and character acting of some of Broadway’s greatest musical theater shows such as Hamilton, Wicked, Peter Pan, My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, Rent, A Chorus Line and more,” city officials said in an online announcement promoting the class.

The class will take place on Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays, city officials said.

The general fee to take the course is $200, plus an additional $2 fee to fund a college scholarship and a $3 processing fee.

“We will take a different virtual fun cruise on a new musical theater theme each week and learn songs, dances and explore characters from each show. Our goal will be to create a short performance/presentation that parents can see the latest school day,” city officials said.

“All materials will be provided with the class, students should dress in very comfortable clothes that they can move around freely in and dance/move around the class without risk of injury.”
