Our take: Musical hits all the right notes | News, Sports, Jobs

Over the past month, dozens of youngsters in Warren County have been busy on stage, building sets and singing their hearts out in preparation for the musical All-County, “Joseph and the Incredible Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

This week, those efforts are paying off. The musical will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, all at Warren Area High School.

Twenty-nine high schools will perform on stage while sets and other materials were built by students from the Warren County Career Center. And this year, more than 50 children from kindergarten through eighth grade will be part of a junior choir that will be part of the show.

Tickets are available at the Warren Area High School auditorium box office from 5-7 p.m. and at the door for two hours before each performance. Ticket sales are cash only and tickets are $12 for students and seniors and $15 for adults.

Every sports season has a major event or two – homecoming for football, senior night for many other college sports.

This week, our students who excel in drama and music take center stage, no pun intended.

To the cast and crew, break a leg.
