The new family musical Magical Merlin will play at the Fortune Theater

After the sold-out sale in February Jungle RumblePerform Productions returns to the West End to present the first series of Magic Merlin. The spellbinding family musical will play The Fortune Theater in October from Monday October 24 to Sunday October 30, 2022.

Magic Merlin features a mix of magic, song and dance, as well as uplifting themes of teamwork and self-confidence. The show is set in ancient Britain, a savage world of witches and wizards where the miraculous powers of Magical Merlin reign supreme. When baby King Arthur is born and his jealous older sister, Morgan le Fay, begins to turn people into animals, it’s up to Merlin to save the day.

Perform Productions is run by Lucy Quick and Will Barnett. They are also the founders and managers of the famous drama school Perform, which organizes courses for 4-12 year olds across the UK. Magic Merlin corresponds to the theme of the students this quarter. A professional cast will bring to life the legendary characters they discovered on the West End stage, from Sir Lancelot and Princess Guinevere to a fire-breathing dragon!

Lucy Quick, Founder of Perform Productions, said: “We have always wanted to inspire children with more affordable opportunities to see family-friendly shows presented by West End professionals. It was exciting to see children laughing and singing with Jungle Rumble. We are delighted to follow him with Magical Merlin, and we hope that with tickets from £17.50 many families will be able to enjoy our theater experience over the school holidays.

Magic Merlin is written and composed by Will Barnett, produced by Perform Productions and managed by Anthology Theatre. The full creative team and cast are yet to be announced.
