Yes, we have the lyrics from Rogers The Musical’s Hawkeye show.

Watching the Hawkeye show on Disney Plus, I couldn’t help but wish Marvel Studios would release a full version of the scene we saw from Rogers: The Musical. It’s a little weird and inaccurate that could become a bonus someday.

But since it’s not clear if we’ll ever have such a treat, Tom’s Guide (with the help of subtitles and Apple’s Live Text feature) has transcribed what bit of the song we hear in it. episode 1 of Hawkeye (which you can read more about in our Hawkeye review).

A little background, first. This song, probably titled “I Could Do This All Day,” is the only part of a musical about the life of Captain America that we see Clint Barton and his kids. The musical – which is less Rodgers & Hammerstein than Rogers & Thor’s Hammerstein – takes liberties like claiming Ant-Man was at Battle of New York (as seen in Avengers). It’s clearly not Barton’s cup of tea, mostly because it makes him feel emotions when he notices the performer playing Black Widow / Natasha Romanov.

Rogers: The Lyrics for the Musical

Chorus:

Help us win

Save us all from the state we’re in

Captain America:

Things seem dark

But I know this can’t be the end

Chorus:

There is a future

I know that

With the strength that you bring to us

We will get up

The Avengers Unite

Because we have to hear you say

Captain America:

i could do this all day

Chorus:

Save the city

Save us all from the state we’re in

The Hulk is amazing

Break things down

While Iron Man flies away

Captain America is strong

And that Thor is a god

And god knows

They are easy on the eyes

Black Widow is a knockout

Who can knock you out

And when Ant-Man flies

You won’t hear any sound

The battle has just begun

Black Widow:

We will conquer the Chitauri

Then get some shawarma when we’re done

How are we going to fight them?

We will do it as a team

Captain America:

So Natasha, this is your signal

So Hawkeye, hit the nail on the head

There is no better move than you /

Tony, you got nukes to catch

Be careful not to crash

And Hulk

You know the magic word is …

And Hulk

You know the magic word is

And Hulk, you know the magic word is

Smash. Smash. Smash

Chorus:

The city is sacked

When you take your bow

We will blame you then

But you’re good for now

The Avengers Unite

“Because we have to hear you say

I must hear you

I must hear you, I must hear you say

i could do this all day

Help us win

Save us all from the state we’re in

I must hear you

I must hear you, I must hear you say

i could do this all day

The funniest part of the whole song is when the chorus admits that the audience turned on the Avengers by blaming them for the destruction, alluding to the events of the Civil War and other points in the MCU timeline. when the fear of overpowered individuals became toxic.
